The Avenue de Champagne, formerly known as Rue du Commerce, from the French Revolution to 1925, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015.

History and stories
This 19th-century residence, acquired in 1998, is full of history. It was built in 1880 and lived in by Eugène Mercier and his family, then became the headquarters of the Sparnacienne Resistance during the Second World War, in the cellar of the house where Colonel Servagnat and his family lived, then a Mecca for Sparnacienne social events, and finally accommodation for the Mercier cellar guides.
